It is a vital fact that judges in Justice Court need real skill at administration in order to be effective. While Chris Lee has the most extensive background as an attorney and prosecutor, he also is a trusted public administrator.

As the Deputy Nevada Secretary of State, Chris Lee oversees the Southern Nevada branch of this important state office that is charged with enforcing and administering constitutional and statutory duties of:

  • Certifies all statewide candidates and ballot questions and reports and certifies primary and general election results.
  • Supervises state and local elections.
  • Registers and files candidate contribution and expenditure reports.
  • Registers corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, and business trusts.
  • Registers trade names, trademarks, professional corporations and associations, and rights of publicity.
  • Records Uniform Commercial Code statements and documents.
  • Appoints, trains, and regulates Notaries Public.
  • Administers the Confidential Address Program for victims of domestic violence.
  • Regulates the state's securities industry and enforces securities law.
  • Licenses and regulates athletes' agents.

Chris has been involved on behalf of the Secretary of State’s office with criminal investigations to protect our citizens. Those who have attempted to defraud seniors in their investments or who have committed consumer fraud are targets of these investigations. The enforcement of securities violations has helped protect Nevadans’ nest eggs.

Chris is married to Ji Hye Kim. The couple will soon celebrate their fifth anniversary and have a son, Christopher. Chris and Ji Hye also have two puppies, Bella—a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel—and Bruce—a Japanese Chin.
